10 Musicals Everyone Should See

Off the back of 10 Movies Everyone Should See and 10 Books Everyone Should Read here are 10 Musicals Everyone Should See.  The title does not necessarily reflect this list – I guess this is just a list of 10 musicals that I love whereas the other ones were books and films that were culturally worth seeing/reading (delete as appropriate)! So here goes…as Dermon says…in no particular order…

1. WICKED – You will laugh, cry, sing, sigh and gasp!!

2. LES MISERABLES – This is a spectacular production, go and see Nancy Sullivan in it!

3. CATS – My all time favourite, let me know if you hear of a production of it, I’m so sad they stopped it in the west end!

4. AVENUE Q – Comedy genius….you will laugh…lots!

5. HAIRSPRAY – Completely feel good, 100% fabulous!

6.  PHANTOM OF THE OPERA – It’s a classic but you must go and see why it’s a classic!

7. CHICAGO – Very different to any other production I’ve ever seen, well worth a watch for those theatrical types out there.

8. THE LION KING – An orange extravaganza!

9. FAME – I LOVE it and would watch it all day everyday if only it were on!

10.  MY FAIR LADY – Highly underrated and mega entertaining this will have you in stiches all through!!

Well I could’ve danced all night but I must head to bed…

Are there any you think should have been added? Or missed out for that matter?  Let me know, comment below!

  2. The Public Reviews says:

Far too many you have missed out!

I could go on all day but you wouldn’t have the room on this page – Cats is rumoured to be touring again next year!

  3. hobo says:

Ahhh I would love a Cats tour – I would defo be there. I know…one I wish I had room for and might replace one of the above with is RENT. Oh well, it would look weird if it said ’11 musicals…etc’!!! JX

  4. Jennie says:

Jo – I love the ones you have picked but in my top 3 would be Billy Elliott – absolutely spellbinding … not really suitable for a younger generation ‘cos of the language but for grownups it is a-mazing!! Also ‘Joseph’ was a funny, feel-good musical too…

  5. Rachel says:

OLIVER! its just simply outstanding…never seen anything quite like it! x

  6. hobo says:

Ooooo I’m going to Oliver in under a week!! So so so excited to see and meet Kerry Ellis!!

  7. Caiohme says:
