Seat Review: I would consider my view on these seats to be not completely fair as we didn’t have anyone sitting in the row in front of us, but you can see the stage fully throughout the show and the cast seem to look up to us, More than they were looking straight-ahead!
Price: £15 (Get Into London Theatre Offer. Seats were originally £45 a ticket)
Visit number: 1
Rating out of 10: 7
Recommend: Ermm, if you are really in love with the film I would avoid this show as it really does muck up the storyline and the songs are all mixed up, but if you don’t mind seeing it in a different view, Go and see it! I enjoyed it!
Describe it in 5 words: Lively, hippy, pink, funky, loud.
George’s Review: When I entered the show, the first thing I realised was the fact that this is the first show I’ve seen where they’ve played music which links with the show beforehand whilst everyone is finding their seats! The show started and Lauren Samuels as Sandy and Matthew Goodgame both appeared on stage singing a weird reprise of ‘Sandy’, this was the point when I realised this was going to be very different from the film. So the show went on and I really enjoyed the first half and having listened to a recording on youtube of Lauren singing Hopelessly Devoted To You, I was very excited about hearing her hit that Top C in the song. So the song came and I had a massive shiver down my back for the whole thing, She really went for it and you could tell that she was passionate about the role, she honestly was fab! Then the show started to get back into the main storyline and I started to understand it! Worth mentioning that the theatre seemed to be quite empty which makes me quite upset as I found this show to be very good, Its very under rated! But yeah, go and see this before it leaves westend, it’s worth the money!
Thanks George for another great and honest review.
