You may have come across Kate Voegele, either through your love of One Tree Hill: The Complete Seasons 1-6Her first album, Don’t Look Away
, the record released on MySpace records, is full of tracks from her earlier EPs. Even in her youth she was writing cracking songs and training her unique voice. Then came her eagerly anticipated second album, A Fine Mess
, and she more than satisfied all her impatient fans
It truly is a gorgeous album, without a doubt one of my all time favourites. My favourite tracks are Manhattan from the Sky (about how life can look nice when you’re flying above it but when you explore it deeper it’s really a mess!), Who you are without me (with the line ‘I’m not your saviour, save your energy!!’) and 99 Times which she did a fab video for:
Loads of hints of Kelly, Taylor, Avril and Pink with her own awesome songwriting skills creates this difficult to beat album!
You MUST buy this album and I would highly recommend you get the deluxe edition because you get 3/4 extra tracks, defo worth the extra pounds!
What do you think? WDYT??
